Multiethnic Feminist Network of Vojvodina supported the Roma community in Ukraine and the Ukrainian people

Today, the Multiethnic Feminist Network of Vojvodina supported the Roma community in Ukraine and the Ukrainian people because of Russia's invasion of that country. "We want to send messages of support to the Ukrainian people, as well as to the Roma community that is there and surviving various forms of torture, trauma, racism and discrimination," said Vesna Cerimovic of the Novi Becej Roma Association.

Month of Roma Women’s Activism

nisi sama logoThe Campaign "Month of Roma Women's Activism" is implemented from March 8th  to April 8th  every year, and this year the Multiethnic Feminist Network of Vojvodina will implement six actions "At the Coffee, Against Gender-based Violence and Discrimination", within the project "Improving Safety of Women in Serbia - You are not alone”, supported by the Norwegian government and the UNWOMEN office in Serbia.

Roma Night held

romsko vece sOn the December 23rd, 2021. Association of Roma Novi Becej held the „Roma Night" in Novi Becej as a part of the project "Dancing through Roma history". During the evening, Roma national dresses were exhibited, guests presented the Roma dancing with songs and dances  and thank-you certificates were given to Roma women long-term activists and associates of the Association.

Conference on the occasions of the International Human Rights Day

konferencija 10 12 sUntil the 2020 pandemic, the Roma Association Novi Becej regularly organized public marches on December 10th in Novi Becej with the aim of calling on institutions to fight together to respect and non-violate human rights, but this year, due to the pandemic, it organized the Online Conference supported by the OAK Foundation and the Trag Foundation through a project called "One Call Makes a Change."
