Annual Report 2022

In the period of 01.01. – 31.12.2022 implemented total of 11 projects. They were mostly focused on providing support and services to our beneficiaries with the specific focus on women and girls survivors of family and partnership violence, but also faced with all other marginalizes groups of people mostly from Vojvodina.

Annual Report 2020

Association of Roma Novi Becej will remember the "pandemic" 2020 by defining new approaches in communication with target groups and the public, strengthening the availability of services in the emergency state that lasted 3 months in Serbia, but also by emergency measures that greatly prevented group work, as well as gatherings at public activities that the Association regularly conducts and which it planned during 2020. Despite the pandemic, the activists successfully managed to raise funds for emergency support and to support their beneficiaries on the territory of Banat

Annual Report 2019

Projects implemented by the Association of Roma Novi Becej and SOS Helpline on National Minorities` Languages during 2019th had focused on providing basic and specialist services for SOS Helpline, supporting girls and adolescent victims of sexual violence and rape (under the practice of early marriage practices), creating and strengthening local support mechanisms for girls, women and minorities.

The projects implemented during 2018 by the Association of Roma Novi Becej and SOS Helpline on minority languages, dealt with the areas of providing basic and specialist services trough SOS Helpline, supporting girls and adolescents for victims of sexual violence and rape (under the auspices of early marriage), analysis of inadequate and untimely reaction of the Police in the processed cases and the analysis of the inaccessibility of Safe Houses for Roma women, which resulted in the initiation of a lawsuit against the competent Ministry of the Republic of Serbia.

Annual Report 2017

Projects that Association of Roma Novi Becej and SOS Helpline on minority languages had implemented dealt with areas of providing basic and specialist services of the SOS Helpline and analyses of the inadequate and untimely provision of Police services under the proceeded areas and analyses of the inaccessibility of Safe Houses for Roma women.

Association had actively worked on strengthening activism among young Roma women, activists and volunteers in Vojvodina, held public actions against racism, violence against women and girls and against early, arranged marriages.

Under the framework of activities of the Roma Women’s Network of Banat in partnership with Roma Women’s Center “Rromnjako Ilo” we had worked on analyses of the problem of early marriages as the ticket for sexual violence, what made us to overview the problem from a different perspective and strengthening the responsiveness of the organization related to the problem of sexual violence and rape, especially of girls.

Annual Report 2016

During 2016, we had recorded the following:

  1. Total of 289 beneficiaries, women survivors of all forms of violence (psychological, physical, sexual and economical)
  2. Data base of the Association in this period records total of 437 calls received by the SOS Helpline.
  3. SOS Helpline records show that only from Novi Becej SOS Helpline support and personal support was asked by 78 beneficiaries during 2016.

Annual Report 2015

Association of Roma Novi Becej SOS Helpline on minority languages in 2015 provided emotional, psychological and legal support for 328 women from Vojvodina and Serbia. Women who called SOS Helpline or personally came to offices of the Association were from Novi Becej, Kumane, Novo Milosevo, Melenci, Bocar, Srpska Crnja, Itebej, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kikinda, Pancevo, Temerin, Jabuka ,Zrenjanin, Backo Gradiste etc.
