Knowledge and skills in working with girls and adolescents affected with early marriage practice generated the development of the ”My Safety and Resilience – Pocket Guide”, published by the UNICEF.
The Association of Roma Novi Becej continues to work against early, arranged and forced, child marriages in Serbia.
Early, arranged, forced and child marriages represent rough violation of children rights. They endanger psychophysical health of girls and expose them to the risks of sexual violence, domestic violence, trafficking in human beings. Such practice brings to early drop out from education and later, as women they are exposed to poverty and economical dependence what forced them to stay in vicious circle of poverty and violence.
